Why are my English grades so bad?

If your vocabulary isn’t up to the level required for your child’s grade, learning reading comprehension, grammar, cloze tests, and writing is like building castles in the air—completely meaningless! Memorizing vocabulary is incredibly tedious. Without strong interest, self-discipline, and an effective anti-forgetting learning method, it’s difficult to stick to it long-term. These three elements are indispensable! Traditional tutoring classes, pre-recorded lessons, online courses, large classes, and small classes only allow learning based on the teacher’s fixed lesson plan. They can’t provide targeted learning, ensure high absorption rates, or offer personalized support to address individual learning gaps. They’re no different from traditional classroom learning. If you don’t learn something in class, you won’t learn anything in these tutoring classes either. In-person one-on-one tutoring cannot provide children with scientific and efficient review. Vocabulary memorization is divided into short-term and long-term memory. To achieve long-term memory, words need to be spoken at least 300-600 times within 21 days; otherwise, it enters a vicious cycle of memorizing and forgetting, then memorizing again! Our vocabulary database includes all textbook versions nationwide, covering elementary, middle, and high school levels, as well as CET-4/6, KET, PET, New Concept English, IELTS, TOEFL, and spoken English vocabulary. We also support customized vocabulary databases (free). Simply turn on your camera and microphone and follow our tutoring pace.
2. We offer a revolutionary English rapid improvement training system that trains vocabulary, reading comprehension, grammar, writing, speaking, and listening.
3. We provide a fully live, one-on-one teaching model. Our intelligent training system guides children to efficiently memorize vocabulary. Each lesson, depending on the child’s learning ability, can cover 30-80 words. We provide constant supervision and encouragement, fully motivating the child and preventing any distractions. 4. Our class is divided into two parts, one of which is 1 hour (the shorter the time). The total learning time for one class is approximately 2 hours.
5. If you enroll in one class, our live tutor will provide 11 lessons for your child over the next 22 days. The schedule is as follows: Day 1: 1 hour regular lesson; Days 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 18, and 22: 10 sessions of 5-15 minute anti-forgetting review. Our review sessions are designed according to the Ebbinghaus forgetting curve. The sole purpose of this is to help children learn new words and form long-term memories.
6. Competitors, in order to lower prices, compress the number of anti-forgetting sessions to 3 or 5. Parents, think about it: You worked so hard to learn these words, and just to save money, most of them will be forgotten after 21 days. Is that worth it?
7. All the words we teach are those the child doesn’t know yet. If they can recognize them within 3 seconds during the pre-learning test, they are considered mastered and will not be studied further. We only teach the core exam vocabulary that they should learn but don’t yet know. 8. We don’t have fixed class times because it’s a one-on-one tutoring program. Class times are arranged according to the child’s availability, from 6 AM to 11 PM. 9. Elementary school exam vocabulary: 700 words, requires 20 class hours; Middle school exam vocabulary: 2000 words, requires 40 class hours; High school exam vocabulary: 3500 words, requires 60 class hours. Learning abilities and current vocabulary levels vary, so the duration will differ. 10. Vocabulary learning should not be done slowly and gradually; it must be intensively and rapidly mastered in concentrated time. For children with weak foundations, we will first teach them the vocabulary synchronized with the classroom. For children with strong foundations, we will directly provide accelerated enrichment to help them master all the exam vocabulary for this stage in one go. It’s crucial to build a strong sense of accomplishment in learning when the child is interested, so that they can maintain their interest in the subject!
